Biography

Entering 2020: Was named to the Phil Steele 2020 Preseason FCS Independent Team.

At Dixie State 2019 (Redshirt Junior): Was also part of a potent 1-2 punch at quarterback last season as he passed for 1,274 yards and 10 touchdowns ... connected on 54.2 percent (90-166-2) of his throws ... threw for a DSU career-high 300 yards on 21-of-38 passing with a pair of touchdowns in a road win at South Dakota Mines (9/28) ... tossed four TD passes as part of a 17-of-28 day and 248 yards in a home triumph over Colorado Mesa (11/2) ... also averaged 38.1 yards per punt (32 punts, 1,220) in 2019, which included three 50-plus yard boots and four punts downed inside the 20-yard line a season ago.  

At Northern Colorado 2016-18: Appeared in six games during his sophomore season and completed 86 passes for 1,155 yards and 10 touchdowns … rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown ... played in three games as a freshman in 2017 and competed 11 passes for 152 yards … rushed for 39 yards ... Redshirted in 2016.

At Bingham High School: Four-year letter winner in football and a two-year letter winner in baseball ... played at two different high schools throughout his career ... named all-region during his sophomore and junior seasons, as well as All-City ... U.S. Army All-American Nominee ... collected all-state honors during his senior season ... team captain both his junior and senior seasons ... led team to two region titles and one semifinal appearance … graduated in June 2016.

Personal: Born in Las Vegas, Nevada … parents are Justin and Jill Mott … also recruited by Southern Utah, San Diego, Adams State, Dakota State, Saint Anselm and William Penn  … favorite athlete is Bryce Harper ... currently majoring in CIS with an emphasis in coding and programming.
