Before Utah Tech: Earned four varsity letters in football at San Juan High School and was part of four-straight Utah 2A state championship winning teams … was a two-time 2A state MVP … set two state records with 2,088 rush yards and 40 rushing touchdowns, and caught 45 passes for 731 yards and seven TDs during his senior season … finished his prep career with 3,262 rushing yards and 66 rushing touchdowns … was a four-sport athlete and lettered in basketball, baseball and track & field.
