At Utah Tech 2022 (RS-Freshman): Played in the trailblazers final three games.
At Utah Tech Fall 2021 (Freshman): Saw time in the final two games of the season vs. Fort Lewis (11/13) and Missouri State (11/20).
At Corner Canyon High School: Was a three-year varsity letter winner in football and helped lead the Chargers to a pair of region titles … earned all-region honors at center as a senior … also lettered in baseball and track and field, and was part of a track team region championship in 2018 … participated in the Especially for Athletes Program.
Personal: Born in Murray, Utah … parents are Ric and Gayle Petersen … wife’s name is Abbey … older brother Braden played offensive line at Dixie State from 2015-17 … also recruited by Utah State and Weber State … favorite team is the Utah Jazz … currently majoring in exercise science/pre-physical therapy.
Why I chose Utah Tech: “I chose Tech because I have always loved St. George, often my family and I have enjoyed visiting this part of the state to relax and enjoy the outdoors. When the chance to play at UT was given to me I was excited to have the chance to live here full time. I was also excited to play for the coaching staff here. I also love the facilities that the school has. Not only the athletic facilities but also the other buildings and resources on campus.”
