2019 FB - Updated Coach Grant Headshot

Terrance Grant

Terrance Grant enters his third season on the Dixie State football coaching staff in 2021, and serves as the wide receivers coach. In his first season as receivers coach this past spring 2021, the Trailblazer receiving corps combined to rack up over 1,000 yards in just five games played.

Grant served as a defensive quality control coach in 2019, and assisted in coaching the safeties. The DSU secondary played a crucial role in the success of the defense in 2019, as Alex Lilliard earned second team All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference honors. Additionally, Darrius Nash led DDSUFB_GrantFam2021SU with 73 tackles and added 4.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions.

Grant came to Dixie State after serving as wide receivers coach and passing coordinator at Christian Brothers High School in Sacramento, Calif.

Prior to his time at CBHS, Grant spent nearly a decade coaching at various high schools as a coordinator, wide receivers coach, and strength and conditioning coach.

Throughout his career, he has contributed to an Under Armour All-American, sent numerous players to Division 1 programs, and ran a privately owned training business where he worked with high school, collegiate and professional athletes.

As a collegiate player, Grant was the leading receiver at Fresno City College in 2003 where he earned All-Conference honors and led the rams to a Producers Dairy Bowl. Later, he played at San Jose State (2004-06) under head coaches Fitz Hill and Dick Tomey. Reconstructive knee surgery prevented Grant from playing his senior season, but inspired him to transition into coaching and performance training.

He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management Wellness and Fitness at California University of Pennsylvania in 2017. Grant and his wife, Shareena, are the proud parents of three children: Terrance Jr., Tiana, and Trenton.
