Rick Worman begins his first year as an assistant coach at Dixie State in 2017. Worman will oversee the coaching of the Trailblazer tight ends.

Worman comes to DSU after serving as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Wilmington College during the 2016 season. Prior to Wilmington, 
Worman served as the head coach of the FXFL’s Mahoning Valley Brawlers during their lone season (2015). He brings extensive professional experience, mostly in the Canadian Football League.

He started his coaching career as the offensive coordinator of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2001, and moved to the Edmonton Eskimos for seven years. After a brief hiatus, in which he was the offensive coordinator for the College of the Siskiyous, he returned for a two-year stint as the running back coach of the Hamilton Tiger Cats.

Worman moved to the college ranks as the associate head/quarterback coach at Mississippi Valley State for two years, and spent a year each at Missouri Western State University and Northern Arizona State University.

He also had the privilege playing six years professionally as a quarterback in the Canadian Football League. Worman has specialized in developing signal callers, engineering the careers of Ricky Ray and Khari Jones, CFL Most Valuable Players.
