Utah Tech University Athletics

Nolan Givan is in his second season on the Utah Tech football staff, and in his first year coaching the Trailblazers' tight ends corps. 

Coach Givan reunited with current Trailblazer OC Greg Stevens, who Given played tight end for at Southeastern Louisiana in 2021, and served as SLU wide receivers offensive analyst during the 2023 season.

Following his lone season at SLU, Coach Givan was signed by the Detroit Lions as a priority free agent in 2022. 
 
Givan also played tight end at both San Diego State (2020) and at Ball State (2017-19), for which he caught 51 career passes for 352 yards and six touchdowns as a Cardinal. He finished his four-year collegiate career with 110 receptions for 958 yards. 

Coach Givan earned a Bachelor's degree in Professional Sales from Ball State in 2019, and completed work on his Master's degree in Liberal Arts at San Diego State in 2021. He and his fiance Delaney reside in St. George.
