Izaiah Williams

Izaiah Williams enters his first season as defensive backs coach at Dixie State after serving as a defensive graduate assistant at New Mexico State from 2013-16, where he coached the defensive backs and outside linebackers.

Prior to NMSU, Williams held the position of defensive quality control at Northwestern University. During the 2012-13 season Northwestern went 10-3 overall and won the Gator Bowl. This marked Northwestern’s first 10-win season since 1995 and first bowl win since 1949. In 2011-12, Williams served as the video intern and special teams quality control assistant.

Williams spent 2010 as the wide receiver and defensive backs coach at Urbana High School in Urbana, Ill. Prior to Urbana High School, Williams was a graduate assistant and running backs coach at Humboldt State University from 2008-10.

Williams, native of Pacific Grove, Calif., earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Humboldt State. He is married to Motoko Furuhashi.
