At Moorpark College: Named the Raiders’ defensive player of the year … All-National Northern Conference … earned John Keever Character Champion Award.

At Arleta High School: Helped the team to a Los Angeles City Championship … graduated in June 2009.

Personal: Born in Los Angeles, Calif. … parents are Hugo Fermin and Amada Pleitez … also recruited by Humboldt State, South Dakota Mines, Azusa Pacific, Southeastern, Malone, Arkansas Tech, and Southwestern Oklahoma … currently majoring in human communication.
