Utah Tech University Athletics

At Utah Tech 2022: Made eight appearances with one start and finished with an 0-1 record and eight strikeouts in 6.2 IP … struck out a season high two in back-to-back scoreless road outings at Sacramento State (3/12) and at Nevada (3/16).
 
At College of Southern Idaho (2020-21): Appeared in five career games at CSI and posted a 2-0 overall record in 13.2 IP … struck out a combined 16 batters in those appearances, with 13 of those punchouts coming 12.2 innings of work in the COVID-19 pandemic shortened 2020 season … earned NJCAA Third Team Academic All-America honors.  
 
At Spanish Fork High School: Won three varsity letters in baseball for the Dons and was a three-time all-region and all-state selection … led the Utah 5A ranks in RBI in 2016 and was two-time Louisville Silver Slugger award recipient … earned academic all-regions honors.  

Personal: Born in Spanish Fork, Utah … parents are Chad and Allison Newman … father Chad play college baseball at Utah Valley (JUCO) and Southern Utah … currently majoring in business management.
