At Dixie State 2017: Appeared in 16 games with one start and pitched to a 3-2 record with two saves … earned both saves in three of DSU’s four wins over Concordia-Irvine (3/10-11) … got the spot-start at Hawai’i Hilo (4/25) and struck out a career-high six in four innings of work … picked up victories in three of his final six appearances, including DSU’s 6-5 win over Cal Poly Pomona (3/19) in an NCAA West Regional elimination game … finished with 23 strikeouts and a 3.38 ERA in 21.1 IP … earned Academic All-PacWest honors … 2016: Appeared in seven games out of the bullpen and did not record a decision … struck out one in 6.1 innings pitched … earned Academic All-PacWest honors … 2015: Made 12 appearances with six starts and posted a 3-2 record with one save and a 3.99 ERA … struck out 24 in 38.1 innings pitched … earned Academic All-PacWest honors … 2014: Sat out the season as a redshirt.

At Boulder City High School: Earned two varsity letters in baseball … two-time All-League, 2012 First-Team All-State Pitcher, 2013 First-Team All-State infielder … hit .491 with 47 runs, 12 doubles, four triples, five home runs and 58 RBI to earn state MVP honors … went 5-1 with a 2.43 ERA in 54.2 innings … struck out 84 batters while allowing only 46 hits … also lettered in basketball and helped lead Eagles to a region crown … was named Athlete of the Year in both baseball and basketball.

Personal: Born in Henderson, Nevada … parents are Ken and Kim Howell … father Ken was a former Dixie College football player … also recruited by Santa Clara, Utah Valley, Louisiana State, College of Southern Nevada, College of Southern Idaho and Mesa CC … currently majoring in business administration.
