Jesse Clingman '20


Jesse Clingman is in his first season with the Trailblazer Baseball program and will serve as the Director of Analytics and Flim.

A recent graduate of Dixie State with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Clingman was named the Student of the Year in the DSU Health and Human Performance program. He also received the 2020 American Kinesiology Association Regional Student of the Year Award. During his time as a DSU student, Clingman conducted research analyzing specific baseball movements as a coordinator in the school's Biomechanics and Sports Science Lab under DSU Assistant Professor Dr. Travis Ficklin.

Prior to his time at DSU, Clingman was a starting pitcher at Allan Hancock College in 2013-14. He also served as the freshman and sophomore head baseball coach at Stansbury Park (UT) HS in 2016. In addition, Clingman was biomechanics intern at Driveline Baseball in Seattle, where he conducted pitching assessments on all athletes and worked on research and development. He has also written several coding programs in Rstudio and MATLAB that helps track in-game analytics and human movement sciences.
