Entering 2017: Was voted to the NCBWA all-West Region First Team

At Dixie State 2016: Earned Second Team all-PacWest, First Team all-D2CCA West Region and NCBWA West Region Honorable Mention accolades … finished the season third among DSU regular starters in batting with a .376 average with one homer and 24 RBI … hit safely in 16 of his final 21 games with eight multi-hit outings, which started with a 4-for-4 day with a career-high four RBI and two runs scored vs. Hawai'i Hilo (3/28) …  also posted a .990 fielding percentage and committed just two errors in 204 total chances … was a three-time PacWest Newcomer of the Week honoree.

At College of Southern Nevada 2015: Started in 55 of 58 games played and hit .286 with eight doubles, three home runs and 26 RBI … also legged out one triple with 22 runs scored … handled a pitching staff that posted a 46-18 overall record with a 3.13 team ERA … led all every day position players with a .992 fielding % and threw out 11 of 38 would-be base stealers … 2014: Sat out the season as a redshirt … 2013: Played in 19 games with 14 starts and hit .225 with three doubles and eight RBI. 

At La Cueva High School: Lettered in baseball and was a first team district, metro and state selection … also earned Louisville Slugger All-American honorable mention.

Personal: Born in St. George, Utah … parents are Ken and Joni Lucero … also recruited by Arizona, UNLV, Utah Valley, Grand Canyon, Point Loma and Academy of Art ... currently majoring in communication.
