Biography

At Utah Tech 2022: Earned first team all-WAC at utility … started in 37 of 44 games played in his debut season and was third on the team in batting at .315, including a team-high .379 clip in WAC play … hit all four of his doubles, three home runs, and drove in 19 of his 23 runs on the year against WAC pitching … after starting the season 1-for-21, he finished the season batting .363 (45-for-124) over his final 35 games … hit safely in 16 of his last 20 starts, including seven-straight to close out the season, and in 29 of those 35 games overall … also posted 12 multi-hit games, highlighted by a 4-for-6 day with a double, homer and a career-high five RBI in a road win at New Mexico State (4/30) … earned academic all-WAC honors. 
 
At Pima CC (2020-21): Earned second team all-region after batting .371 with four home runs and 36 RBI … finished with 56 total hits with 16 XBH.
 
At Oregon (2019-20): Appeared in seven games, primarily as a pinch runner, and had one at-bat and one run scored in a COVID-19 pandemic shortened season.
 
At Desert Oasis High School: Earned four varsity letters for the Diamondbacks and was the No. 19-ranked player overall and second-ranked catcher in Nevada by Perfect Game … earned first team all-state as a senior after he hit .448 with a school record 64 total hits, including 12 doubles and 19 total XBH, and 24 RBI … was a second team all-state after his junior campaign when he hit .432 with 12 XBH, 26 RBI and 32 runs scored … helped lead the D-Backs to consecutive league titles in 2018 and 2019, a 2019 Southern Nevada crown, and the 2019 Nevada state championship ... was a career .389 hitter and tied the DOHS school triples record (11).  

Personal: Born in Silverton, Oregon … parents are Brian and Jamie Schmidt … favorite team is the Vegas Golden Knights ... favorite player is Mike Trout ... currently majoring in finance.
