At Mesa CC (2017): Appeared in 16 games with 13 starts and posted a 6-1 record with a 3.52 ERA and 57 strikeouts in 71.2 innings pitched.

At Menlo College (2016): Went 8-2 in 15 games as a freshman with 46 strikeouts in 75.0 innings.

At El Dorado High School: Was a four-year letter winner in baseball and was a career .295 hitter (.432 his senior season) with 20 doubles, 52 RBI and 69 runs scored … went a combined 30-7 in four seasons as a starting pitcher with 24 complete games and 259 career strikeouts in 250.2 IP … also the Cougars’ starting quarterback for three seasons and finished with 5,349 career passing yards and 49 touchdowns.

Personal: Born on May 31, 1997 in Brawley, California … parents are Eric and Kim Bonniksen … also recruited by BYU, Hawai’i and Angelo State … currently majoring in education.
