Biography

At Dixie State 2020: Played in nine games with four starts in the pandemic shortened season … collected at least one hit in six of those outings, highlighted by a 2-for-4 effort with a double and a career-high three RBI vs. Adams State (3/7) … drilled his first collegiate home run vs. Northwest Nazarene (2/7) … batted .350 overall and finished with two doubles, two homers, eight RBI and four runs scored.
 
At Dixie State 2019: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
 
At Dixie State 2018: Played in 27 games with eight starts and batted .212 with four RBI … legged out a double for his first collegiate hit as part of a 2-for-3 day with three runs scored in his debut start vs. MSU Billings (2/10) … drove in a season-high two runs vs. Azusa Pacific (3/3) … earned Academic All-PacWest honors.
 
At Sage Creek High School: Played two seasons at SCHS and helped lead the Bobcats to a CIF title … combined for 66 total hits, 22 doubles, five home runs, 54 RBI and 24 stolen bases over his two seasons of play.
 
Personal: Born in Chicago, Illinois … parents are Chuck and Julie Benner … also recruited by Michigan, San Jose State, Cal State Bakersfield and Puget Sound … favorite team is the San Diego Padres … favorite player is Nolan Arenado … currently majoring in mechanical engineering.
