At Utah Tech 2024: Appeared in 12 games with one start and finished with an 0-1 record … struck out eight in 12.1 IP … fanned a season-high two in one spotless inning of relief vs. BYU (3/19) … earned academic all-WAC honors.
 
At Utah Tech 2023: Made 19 appearances with eight starts, including starts in the last four Trailblazer series … posted a 1-2 record with 29 strikeouts in 33.2 IP … fired 3.1 innings of three-hit scoreless relief in his collegiate debut vs. Portland (2/19) … struck out a career-high five and scattered one run and three hits as an opener at Utah Valley (4/17) … recorded at least one strikeout in 16 of his 19 outings … earned academic all-WAC honors.
 
At Timpanogos High School: Was a three-year letter winner in baseball for the Timberwolves … went 4-1 in 10 appearances with 65 strikeouts in 42.2 IP as a senior … finished with eight career wins and 88 strikeouts … was a .405 career hitter as well with 22 total XBHs and 57 RBI … also lettered in football.  

More on Dakoda: Born in American Fork, Utah … parents are Clint West and Shannon West … also recruited by Utah, Utah Valley, Hawai’i Pacific and Arizona Western … favorite team is the Boston Red Sox … favorite player is Nolan Ryan ... currently majoring in criminal justice.
