Brent Haring

Brent Haring is in his second year as an assistant coach for Dixie State College’s baseball coaching staff. He is a graduate of Southern Virginia University with a bachelor of arts in physical education and recreation administration. He earned a master of science degree in kinesiology from Harding University.
            Haring was a two-year starter at Colorado Northwestern Community College and again at Southern Virginia University.
            During the summer of 2009 Haring coached the Duluth Huskies in a prestigious collegiate wood bat league with several top draft prospects on his team. He led coached College of the Ozarks in 2002-2003 and led the team to its first conference tournament appearance with a record of 29-21. He was an assistant coach at Mt. Olive College, and helped the Trojans to a record of 37-15 and regular season and tournament championships in 2003-2004. He coached at Southern Virginia University in 2006-2007 and at Harding University 2007-2009, helping guide the team to its first league tournament appearance in five years.
            He came to St. George with his wife Mary.
            “I came to Dixie State College because of the opportunity to coach with some of the best coaches in the country and to compete for the national championship,” Haring said. “Dixie has everything it needs to compete for championships.”
