Austin (3/24) … came within a double shy of hitting for the cycle vs. Utah Valley (4/30), going 3-fo-4 with one RBI and two runs scored … posted seven multi-hit games and drove in at least one run in 16 outings overall.
 
At Utah Tech 2022: Played in 44 games with 30 starts and batted .279 with 10 XBHs and 23 RBI … doubled and homered, and drove in a career-high six runs in a home win vs. Utah Valley (3/4) … collected a career-best four hits vs. New Mexico State (3/20) … hit safely in 20 games with seven multi-hit outings … posted a .988 fielding percentage with only two errors in 160 total chances while playing at both first base and the outfield.
 
At Utah Tech 2021: Started in 20 of 37 games played and hit .227 with one home run and nine RBI … collected his first collegiate RBI (G2) and hit (G3) in the season opening series vs. Washington State … drove in a season-high two runs at Sacramento State (3/27) and at USC (4/10) … finished the year with two doubles, two triples and 11 runs scored. 
 
At Spring Valley High School: Was a four-year varsity letter winner in baseball for the Grizzlies and was a first team all-region pick … took part in the International Baccalaureate Program and graduated with an advanced honors diploma with a 4.48 weighted GPA … also earned the President’s Award for Educational Excellence. 

Personal: Born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri … parents are Hector and Pamela Rodriguez … father Hector is a United States Marine … mother Pamela played college volleyball at Maryville University ... favorite team is the St. Louis Cardinals ... favorite player is Barry Bonds ... currently majoring in sociology.
 
Why I chose Utah Tech: “I chose Utah Tech because it was close to home and I was offered a scholarship to play baseball.”
