At Dixie State 2020: Started in 16 of 17 games played in the pandemic shortened season … hit .214 with eight XBH, including two triples and two home runs … drove in 14 and tallied 12 runs scored … hit safely in 11 games, including a 2-for-4 day with a double and an RBI vs. Azusa Pacific (2/13).
 
At Dixie State 2019: Started in 46 of 50 games played and led the team with a .387 average with 14 doubles, three triples, six home runs and 42 RBI ... closed the season with an eight-game hit streak ... had 16 multi-hit games, including four-straight outings (2/8-23), during which he batted .692 (9-for-13) with a double, HR, five RBI and six runs scored ... drove in a career-high five runs twice (at MSU Denver 4/12; vs. Regis 4/19) ... had at least one hit in 39 of 50 games played and reached base safely in 44 games overall.
 
At LA Mission College (2017-18): Was a 2018 All-Southern California ABCA/Rawlings first team selection after hitting .392 with 11 home runs and 38 RBI as a sophomore at LAMC … also helped lead the Eagles to a 52-31 overall record and to a pair of CCCBA playoff appearances in his two seasons as the Eagle backstop.
 
At West Ranch High School: Earned three varsity letters in baseball and garnered first team all-Foothill League and all-SCV honors … batted .337 as a senior with two home runs and 17 RBI … was a four-time defensive player of the year honoree and was named the USMC Most Distinguished Athlete as a senior.   

Personal: Born in Northridge, California … parents are Brent and Beth Spurlin … also recruited by Michigan State, Cal State Northridge, Chico State and Minot State … favorite team is the Boston Red Sox … favorite player is Bryce Harper … currently majoring in applied sociology.
