At Jordan High School: Earned three varsity letters in baseball and was a two-time region MVP and two-time first team all-state honoree … batted .450 during his senior season with 20 doubles, five homers, 23 RBI … hit .522 as a junior with 11 doubles, six HRs and 47 RBI … served as senior class vice president … was also a three-time all-academic team selection and a member of the National Honor Society.
