Biography

At Dixie State 2022: Sat out the season as a redshirt.
 
At Prairie Ridge High School: Was a two-year starter at second base for the Wolves, for whom he hit .350 with six doubles in 15 games as a senior before suffering a season-ending injury … earned all-conference and all-state honors his junior season after batting .410 with 10 doubles and 17 stolen bases … also collected academic all-state recognition and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Born in Hoffman Estates, Illinois … parents are Matt and Lori Thelander … father Matt played baseball collegiately at Lewis University and the University of Utah … favorite team is the Chicago Cubs … favorite player is Derek Jeter … also recruited by Minnesota-Duluth, Upper Iowa, IPFW and Slippery Rock … currently majoring in business.
 
Why I chose Dixie State: “I chose Dixie State because it offers great academics, has an unbelievable baseball program, and has such a special culture. It’s such an amazing university to be a student-athlete at and I’m lucky to call myself a Trailblazer! Also, St George is such a special town as well.”
