At Dixie State 2020: Went 2-1 in five starts in a pandemic shortened season … picked up a win in his season debut at Cal State San Marcos (2/1),  against which he scattered two runs (one earned) and four hits with four strikeouts in 5.0 innings … tied a season high with five strikeouts and surrendered one run and three hits to win his final start vs. Adams State (3/7) … finished the year with 22 strikeouts and a 2.77 ERA in 26.0 IP.
 
At Dixie State 2019: Finished second on the staff in wins (6-3) and strikeouts (51 in 58.0 IP) and posted a 5.59 ERA in 13 starts … recorded five or more strikeouts in six of those starts, highlighted by a career-high eight punchouts in just six innings in a 12-1 romp at New Mexico Highlands (3/23), against which he surrendered only one run and four total hits … also struck out seven in four hitless innings to pick up the decision in his season debut vs. Saint Martin’s (2/1) … 2018: Made 11 appearances out of the Trailblazer bullpen with no record and posted a staff-low 3.52 ERA … struck out 14 hitters in 15.1 IP … punched out a season-high four in 3.2 IP in his collegiate debut vs. Cal State San Bernardino (2/9) … struck out at least one batter in eight of 11 appearances … earned Academic All-PacWest honors.
 
At El Camino High School: Earned three varsity letters in baseball and was a San Diego Union Tribune All-Academic team selection … collected four win and struck out 48 with a 2.52 ERA during his senior campaign … recorded two wins, including a complete-game shutout win, and 43 strikeouts in 33 innings of work as a junior.
 
Personal: Born in Mountain View, California … parents are Rick and Heather Gonzales … also recruited by UC San Diego, Point Loma and BYU … favorite team is the San Francisco Giants … favorite player is Madison Bumgarner … currently majoring in criminal justice.
