Biography

At Jordan High School: Was a four-year letter winner in swimming and broke JHS school records in the 100 fly and 200 IM, and co-holds school records in the 200 free/200 medley/400 free relays … finished sixth in the Utah 5A ranks in the 100 fly as a junior and served as team captain as a senior … also lettered in cross country and lacrosse, and participated in club ultimate frisbee … was listed on the honor roll and was an academic all-region pick … was the JHS Sterling Scholar selection for skilled and technical sciences education.

Personal: Born in Sandy, Utah … parents are Brian and Denice Hyer … favorite team is the United States Olympic Team … swam for the Cottonwood Heights Aquatic club team … plans to major in mechanical engineering.

Why I chose Dixie State: “I chose Dixie State because I started looking into Dixie when I found out I had an opportunity to swim there. When I took a campus tour I felt like I could happily live and go to school at this university so that is why I chose Dixie State.”
