Biography

Was a 2018-19 Preseason all-RMAC selection.
Enters her senior season as DSU’s career leader in scoring average (76.49).

At Dixie State 2017-18 (Junior): Enjoyed a stellar junior campaign, which saw her win two tournaments and earn first team all-Pacific West Conference honors … became just the second Trailblazer in the program’s brief six-year history to qualify for NCAA postseason competition, placing t-21st-overall at the 2018 NCAA Division II Women’s Super Region IV Championships … collected both her tourney wins in the spring season, including the Point Loma Reach 2018 Inv'l (+2 146; 2/5-6) and the CSU-Pueblo Pack Spring Inv'l (-2 142; 3/25-26) … posted a runner-up finish at the Dixie State Fall Invitational (10/2-3) and recorded four top-10 showings on the year … placed in the top-20 in six of 10 events overall, including an 11th-place finish at the 2018 Pacific West Conference Championships (4/23-25) …  also led the team with a 75.55 scoring average with three rounds of par or better in 22 competitive loops … earned Academic All-PacWest honors.

Dixie State 2016-17 (Sophomore): Played in all eight events and led the team in stroke average at 77.81 on her way to third team all-PacWest honors … finished tied for 12th at the PacWest Championships … recorded four top-10 individual finishes, highlighted by a runner-up showing at the DSU Fall Classic and a t-seventh place result in her debut tournament at the WNMU Fall Intercollegiate … fired two of DSU’s four sub-par rounds for the year, both of which were 1-under 71s carded at the WNMU and DSU fall tourneys.

At Utah Valley 2015-16: Competed four collegiate events for the Wolverines last fall and posted a 79.88 stroke average in eight competitive rounds … recorded a pair of top-25 finishes, including a t-5th place showing at the Weber State Wildcat Invitational and a t-25th place finish at the Cal Poly Lady Mustang Intercollegiate.

At Desert Hills High School: Was a three-time Utah 3A state individual champion from 2013-15, and helped lead the powerhouse Thunder to three-straight (seven-straight overall to date) team state titles over that span … was a four-time all-state selection … named team MVP as earned the DHHS 2014-15 Female Athlete of the Year award … was listed on the honor roll.

Personal: Born in St. George, Utah … parents are Rick and Wendi Perkins ... husband’s name is Mason and the couple is expecting their first child this November … advanced to the match play rounds of the Utah Women’s State Amateur tournaments in 2015 and 2016 … also recruited by Weber State, Oklahoma, Utah Valley, Purdue, Maryland, Auburn, Nebraska-Kearney and Sonoma State … favorite athlete is Ariya Jutanugarn … currently majoring in health communication.

Why I chose Dixie State: “I chose Dixie State because I moved back to my hometown after a year away to further my golf career and make a difference at DSU. It’s been an amazing two years at Dixie and I cannot wait to finish my degree and athletic eligibility here.”
