Enters the 2021 season third on DSU’s career assists list (2,021), sixth in career digs (715), eighth in career assists/set (5.97), and t-sixth in career aces (73).

At Dixie State Spring 2021 (COVID-Senior): Started in nine matches, including all eight at home (due to academic commitments), and still managed to lead the team in assists (249 – 8.3 aps) … tallied a career-high 51 assists in a four-set win over California Baptist (2/15), then collected 34 more dimes against the Lancers one night later (2/16) to help lead DSU to a series sweep … led the team in assists in all nine starts and had at least 20 assists in eight of those outings … also posted nine kills, 78 digs, and her first career block – a solo stop vs. CBU (2/16) … earned Academic all-WAC honors.   

At Dixie State 2019 (Junior): Started in 27 of 28 matches played and garnered honorable mention all-RMAC recognition ... co-led the team with 10 double-doubles (assists/digs) and tallied 25 or more assists nine times ... dished out a season-high 50 assists at Western Colorado (10/25) ... eight of her 10 double-doubles came in RMAC play ... registered a career-high five kills at Fort Lewis (10/5)  and recorded a career-best four aces vs. CSU-Pueblo (11/19) in an RMAC Tourney quarterfinal win ... earned First Team Academic all-RMAC honors.  

At Dixie State 2018 (Sophomore): Collected honorable mention all-RMAC accolades … played in and started in all 28 matches and 104 sets … collected 25 or more assists in 10 of her 28 starts with five double-doubles, two of which came in postseason play vs. Colorado Mesa (22A/11D in RMAC semis; 16A/13D in NCAA First Round) … dished out a season-high 37 assists at UCCS (9/29) … tallied 39 kills on the year, including a season-best four kills vs. CMU (9/15), and finished with 191 digs … was named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll.

At Dixie State 2017 (Freshman): Played in all 28 matches with 27 starts as a true freshman and finished with a team-high 519 assists (5.09 aps) ... also collected 19 service aces (t-3rd on the team) and finished third on the club in digs with 215 ... recorded nine double-doubles, including a season-high 30 assists with 14 digs at Point Loma (11/4), and a career-best 16 digs and 18 assists at Notre Dame de Namur (10/11) ... dished out 20 or more assists 10 times overall … earned Academic All-PacWest honors.

At Greenway High School: Was a four-year varsity starter for the Demons and was a multiple time all-district and all-section honoree … helped lead GHS to the 2015 Arizona Division III state championship and a state runner-up finish in 2016 … the Demons played to a 109-11 overall record over her four-year career … earned first team all-state honors in 2015 and 2016, was named Section IV Player of the Year in 2015, and was a MaxPreps medium schools second team All-America selection in 2015 … also lettered in tennis and posted a 13-1 singles record as a senior … earned the 2016-17 GHS Female Athlete of the Year and Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete awards. 

Personal: Born in Phoenix, Arizona ... parents are Jeff and Shannon Nelson … mother Shannon played volleyball collegiately at Colorado Mesa, Arizona State and Phoenix College … younger sister Mykenna is a freshman on the DSU volleyball team … also recruited by Colorado Mesa, UTEP and Southeastern Missouri ... graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science this past May and has started a second major in exercise science.
