Enters 2017 season t-third in DSU history in career assists (7), t-fourth in career points (19), t-fifth in GWG (3), and t-seventh in career goals (6).

At Dixie State 2016: Voted first team all-PacWest last season after he finished second on the team in points (14), co-led the team in assists (6) and was t-third in goals (4) in 18 starts ... was named PacWest co-Player of the Week (10/3) after he tallied a goal and two assists in a 3-2 win vs. defending PacWest champ Fresno Pacific (10/1) ... two of his four goals have gone for game-winners and he tallied at least one point in seven of 18 matches played, while his six assists tied him with his brother (Moises Medina) for the team lead and DSU’s single-season record … earned Academic All-PacWest honors.

At Dixie State 2015: Started in eight of 14 games played and finished with two goals and one assist ... netted the game-winning goal in DSU’s home win over Chaminade (Oct. 31) ... finished with 12 shot attempts, three on goal … earned Academic All-PacWest honors.

At Virgin Valley High School: Earned four varsity letters and was a four-year varsity captain for the Bulldogs ... earned first team all-conference and first team all-state honors ... was a two-time first team academic all-state honoree ... graduated as class salutatorian in June 2015.

Personal: Born in Las Vegas, Nevada ... parents are Joel Medina and Raquel Rico ... younger brother Moises is a sophomore on the DSU men’s soccer team ... also recruited by Iowa Lakes CC ... currently majoring in finance.
