At Dixie State 2017: Sat out the season as a medical redshirt … 2016: Made nine appearances with eight starts … posted a 3-2 record with a 3.98 ERA and 27 strikeouts in 40.2 innings pitched … won his first two starts, including a 5-0 win over Northwest Nazarene (5-0; 2/13), during which he struck out a career-high five and tossed 7.1 innings of two-hit shutout baseball … earned Academic All-PacWest honors …  2015: Started in 12 of 13 appearances and went 4-4 with a 4.33 ERA … struck out 38 batters in 60.1 IP … pitched a season-high 7.0 innings and scattered seven hits and two runs with three strikeouts in a win at Hawai’i Hilo March 11 … earned Academic All-PacWest honors.

At Chubbock High School: Named All-Area Player of the Year by the Idaho State Journal … opponents hit .175 against him while he recorded the second most strikeouts on the season with 53 … as a junior was named First Team All-League, All-Region, and All-State, as well as being his league’s MVP …  he went 6-1 on the mound, struck out 53 batters (averaged 8.24 strikeouts per game) … also hit .425 and finished second on the team with 37 hits.

Personal: Born in Salt Lake City, Utah … parents are Malcolm and Heidi Pope … also recruited by Utah Valley and Seattle University … currently majoring in criminal justice.
