Dixie State 2014-15 (Junior): Started in 23 of 27 games played … averaged 6.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game … led the team with 46 steals … shot 39.4 percent from the floor, 46.2 (team-high) percent from behind the 3-point arc, 71.7 percent from the foul line … had five or more rebounds in seven games, with a career-high tying eight rebounds against Academy of Art (12/31).

2013-14 (Sophomore): Played in all 28 games with eight starts … averaged 6.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists … scored a career-high 19 points vs. BYU-Hawai’i (2/11) … pulled down a career-high eight rebounds twice (at Hawai’i-Hilo and vs. BYU-H).

2012-13 (Freshman): Played in 12 games for the Red Storm and averaged 1.5 points per outing.

At Gresham High School: Was an Oregon 6A all-conference selection and was named to the 2009 Gatorade Oregon 6A All-Star Team … averaged 13.2 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 4.0 steals and 3.2 blocks a game as a senior … also lettered in football and tennis for the Bruins.

Personal: Born in Honolulu, Hawai’i … parents are Rob and Kathy Nielson … wife’s name is Abbey … father Robert (a former Dixie College coach) played collegiately at BYU-Hawai’i and is currently the head men’s basketball coach and athletic director at Snow (UT) College … also recruited by BYU-Hawai’i … currently majoring in business administration.
