At Dixie State 2016-17: Earned second team all-PacWest honors after recording three top-15 showings during the spring season, including a fifth-place finish at the Notre Dame de Namur, and a solo seventh-place result at the PacWest Championships to earn all-tournament recognition … carded a career-low 6-under 66 in the second round at the PacWest tourney … finished second on team in scoring average at 73.85 in seven spring events with eight rounds of par or better … did not play in the fall.

At Dixie State 2015-16: Finished ninth-overall to help guide DSU to its second-straight PacWest crown and earned First Team All-PacWest honors … played in a team-high 11 events and carded 15 rounds of par or better … earned medalist honors at the Cal State San Bernardino Coyote Classic (Feb. 22-23), at which he fired DSU’s team low-round of the season, a 5-under 66 en route to an event-winning minus-6 207 … was named PacWest Player of the Week after his win at CSUSB … also earned PacWest co-Player of the Week March 17 … in all he signed for 11 under-par round and finished in the top-10 in four events with three top-five showings overall … played in a team-high 31 rounds and was second on the squad with a 73.58 scoring average.

At Dixie State 2014-15: Helped lead DSU to its first PacWest title with an 11^th-place finish at the conference championships … carded seven top-20 finishes last year, including an 11^th-place showing at St. Martin's and a season-best seventh-place finish at WWU ... registered eight rounds of even par or better, highlighted by a career-best 2-under 69 at the Saint Martin’s Men’s Inv’l ... finished the season with a 73.88 scoring average.

At Davis High School: Earned three varsity letters in golf and was a two-year letter winner in baseball for the Darts ... garnered first and second team 5A all-state recognition on the links ... graduated in June of 2014.

Personal: Born in Salt Lake City, Utah … parents are Darren and Amy Nelson and Nancy and Rees Rumsey… currently majoring in exercise science.
