Entering 2017: Was named PacWest Preseason Pitcher of the Year and was voted to the preseason all-conference team.

At Dixie State 2016: Earned third team all-PacWest honors last after posting a 6-1 overall record with a 2.99 ERA … led the DSU pitching staff in starts (14), innings pitched (90.1) and strikeouts (74) … won his first four decisions to begin the season, including a seven-inning complete-game three-hit shutout at Holy Names (3/18), during which he struck out nine and threw just 77 pitches … began the season with a 15.1 scoreless-inning streak and recorded seven or more strikeouts in six of his 14 starts … 2015: Was named PacWest Freshman of the Year … led the Storm pitching staff in wins with a 6-1 record and was third in ERA at 2.63 … made 12 appearances with 10 starts and struck out 44 in 61.2 IP … threw a complete game two-hitter in a home win over Academy of Art (3/27), allowing one unearned run with six strikeouts, which earned him PacWest Pitcher of the Week honors (3/30).

At Desert Hills High School: Was named Utah 3A First Team All-State and Region 9 MVP … went 7-2 on the mound for the Thunder with 0.63 ERA and five saves … struck out 123 batters in 66.2 innings … hit .400 with team-high 36 RBI.

Personal: Born in Lake Havasu City, Arizona … parents are Mike File and Susan Larson… favorite team is the Arizona Diamondbacks … also recruited by Salt Lake CC … currently majoring in criminal justice.
