(St George, UT – Sept 13, 2026) – Utah Tech men's soccer gets shut out at home Sunday night against UC San Diego.
The first scoring chance of the game came in the 7th minute for the Tritons (5-1-0) as Gavin Allegaert fired a shot low at Utah Tech (1-5-0) keeper
Luca Campoli who made a slick sliding save to keep the match scoreless.
Utah Tech's first chance came in the 21st minute when
Michael Watkins chipped one over the drawn out UCSD keeper, but it went just a hair long as it hit the top woodwork.
Both teams traded chances, but neither could find the back of the net. It looked like we were headed for a scoreless first half until a late chance for UC San Diego developed into a Keenai Braun goal with just two seconds left in the half.
In the 60th minute, the Tritons would add on to their lead with a goal from Ryan Namdar off of a UT turnover.
The Trailblazers lone shot on goal came in the second half when
Michael Watkins had a chance on the left side of the net but the UCSD netminder was there for the save.
Utah Tech's late pressure was not enough to mount a comeback, and the Tritons secured their fifth win of the season, 2-0.
