The Mountain West Conference officially unveiled its 2027 league nine-team baseball schedule on Wednesday, which includes the debut conference slate for the Utah Tech Trailblazer program.
 
Utah Tech will play four three-game series at home, beginning with a match-up against the Air Force Academy the weekend of April 2-4. 
 
The Trailblazers will also play host to long-time conference rival Grand Canyon on April 16-18. The Utah Tech/GCU rivalry will now span three conference affiliations, which started in the Pacific West Conference when both programs were competing at the Division II level (2007-13), and most recently in the Western Athletic Conference (2021-25). 
 
Utah Tech will also welcome San Jose State (April 30-May 2) to Bruce Hurst Field, before wrapping up its first MW season at home vs. UNLV (May 20-22). 
 
The Blazers will play four three-game road sets, starting with their Mountain West debut at New Mexico on Easter weekend (March 25-28). 
 
In addition, Utah Tech will play road series at fellow MW newcomer Hawai'i (April 9-11), at Nevada (April 23-25), and at conference newcomer UC Davis (May 7-9). 
 
"We are thrilled to be joining the Mountain West and excited about the year one conference schedule," said Utah Tech Head Baseball Coach Chris Pfatenhauer. "The conference is littered with great weather and destination cities. Having played some these schools this year and in the past, we feel like the Mountain West will have tremendous competition and be a lot of fun for our student-athletes."
 
All home MW baseball games will be broadcast on the new Mountain West subscription platform, including the Conference tournament. The 2027 MW Conference Tournament will take place on May 27-30.
