TRAILBLAZERS TRAVEL TO BYU FOR TUESDAY MATINEE
The Trailblazers will face BYU for the second time this season on Tuesday afternoon at Gail Miller Field in Provo.

The Trailblazers and Cougars played earlier this season at the Trailblazer Classic on March 13 with BYU winning 10-1 in five innings.

UTAH TECH GOES 3-3 ON CALIFORNIA ROAD TRIP
The Trailblazers are coming off a 3-3 road trip in Southern California from April 3-7.

Utah Tech won the final three games of the series sweeping a doubleheader at CSU Bakersfield on April 7 and defeated San Diego, 11-9 in a high-scoring thriller on April 6.

The road trip started at WAC foe California Baptist on April 3-4 falling in a doubleheader before dropping the series finale, 3-2 after a walk-off by the Lancers.

ABOUT THE BYU COUGARS
BYU is 14-26 overall on the season coming off a three-game sweep at home last weekend over Houston.

The Cougars, who are 5-3 at home on the season, combined to score 33 runs in the series and are 5-10 overall in the Big 12 sitting in a three-way tie for eighth along with Iowa State and Arizona State.

BYU is coming off a 32-17 overall record in 2025 and a 13-11 mark in the Big 12.

As a team, the Cougars are hitting .267 as a team while averaging 4.3 runs per game.

Led by sophomore infielder Danica Acosta hitting .330 from the plate, the Cougars also have three other players hitting over .300.

Sophomore Ilove'a Brittingham has a team-leading 32 RBIs and is 16th in the Big 12 smacking 10 home runs.

In the circle, BYU has a staff ERA of 7.75 and are allowing 7.3 runs per game and opponents are hitting .334.

Junior pitcher Gianna Mares leads the team with 90 strikeouts and also tops the team in wins (6), innings pitched (92.0) and starts (17).
