TRAILBLAZERS HEAD TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FOR SIX CONTESTS
The Trailblazers head to Southern California this week for six contests starting with a three-game series at California Baptist on Friday and Saturday.

After taking on the WAC-leading Lancers in Riverside, the Trailblazers head down the road to San Diego for a Monday afternoon contest and then wrap up the road swing with a doubleheader at CSU Bakersfield on Tuesday afternoon.

UTAH TECH TAKES SERIES WIN OVER THUNDERBIRDS
The Trailblazers defeated the Thunderbirds in two of three games at home last weekend sweeping a doubleheader on Friday downing Southern Utah, 10-0 in five innings and 13-5 in six innings coming back with 13 unanswered runs against the Thunderbirds.

SUU avoided the sweep on Saturday winning the series finale, 12-4 in five innings.

EMBREY EARNS TRAILBLAZERS THIRD WAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONOR
Sophomore outfielder Kennedy Embrey earned the Trailblazers' third WAC Player of the Week honor after putting together a strong week from the plate.

She hit .700 from the plate going 7-for-10 in a series win at home over Southern Utah notching multiple hits in all three games tallying two hits in game one and three of the series and a career-high three hits in a 13-5 win in game two of the series smacking her first home run of the season with a grand slam and drove in a career-best five RBIs.

ABOUT CALIFORNIA BAPTIST LANCERS
California Baptist is 28-12 overall on the season riding a four-game winning streak and are 12-4 at home this season. 

The Lancers lead the WAC with a 5-1 mark coming off a home sweep over Utah Valley and took two out of three contests at Southern Utah.

CBU leads the WAC in doubles (59), stolen bases (61), triples (11), ERA (3.02), strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.30) & WHIP (1.27).

Individually, senior outfielder Makayla Medellin leads the WAC in home runs (10) & RBIs (42) while junior Matti Severns tops the conference and is fourth nationally with 26 stolen bases. In the circle, sophomore Miranda De Nava leads the WAC in victories (12), strikeouts (113), ERA (2.31) and complete game (9).

ABOUT SAN DIEGO TOREROS
San Diego is 14-18 on the season and is coming off opening WCC play last weekend at Oregon State winning the series finale over the Beavers. 

The Toreros, who are 7-8 at home this season, host LMU this weekend and are currently third in the WCC in ERA (3.89) and are fourth in doubles (46) & sacrifice flies (10).

Junior outfielder Kaitlyn Wynia leads the Toreros hitting .373 leading USD in hits (38), runs (17), total bases (46) & on-base percentage (.413).

Senior pitcher Charlie Johnson leads the Toreros in ERA (3.03), wins (6), starts (12), innings pitched (76.1), strikeouts (30) and is holding opponents to a .259 average.

ABOUT CSU BAKERSFIELD ROADRUNNERS
CSU Bakersfield is 6-27 overall on the season and 4-8 in Big West play and will host Cal Poly this weekend before hosting the Trailblazers on Tuesday.

The Roadrunners have a pair of wins at home, on the road and at neutral site this season.

CSUB is hitting .246 from the plate & averaging 2.9 runs per game and rank sixth in the Big West with 31 doubles.

Junior outfielder Aariana Harrison leads the Roadrunners hitting .382 while freshman outfielder Molly Gill tops the team with 23 hits.

WHERE THE TRAILBLAZERS RANK IN THE WAC
The Trailblazers rank third in the WAC in batting average (.304) & on-base percentage (.373) and are fourth in doubles (48), hits (265), slugging percentage (.457) & stolen bases (35).

On the season, Pappas leads the WAC in batting average (.486), doubles (15-3rd nationally), triples (5), hits (51), runs (37), slugging percentage (.896), on base percentage (.525) and total bases (97).

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
Utah Tech is 202-151 overall on the road in the NCAA era.

The Trailblazers are 180-130 on the road under Simkins.

UP NEXT
The Trailblazers are off until April 14 when they travel to BYU (11-22) at 11:30 a.m. in Provo.
