(St. George, Utah - Feb. 26, 2026) - The Trailblazers opened the Beehive Classic on Thursday afternoon falling to Weber State, 14-2 in five innings at Karl Brooks Field.
Utah Tech (6-10), who dropped only its second game in its last eight contests, were held to a pair of runs and three hits on the afternoon.
Senior
Lakaiya-Braessia Kahahawai-Kekona drilled her third home run of the season with a solo shot in the first inning.
Kinley Pappas and
Sadie Phillips added singles while
Maka Sonognini tallied a sacrifice fly driving home
Kennedy Embrey for the Trailblazers second and final run in the fifth.
In the circle, sophomore
Cemryn Pickett made her second start of the season throwing the first 1.1 innings before giving way to
Sauren Garton for 2.2 innings and
Riley Price closed the game down with the final inning of work.
