(St. George, Utah - Feb. 22, 2026) - Behind a program record three home runs from Kinley Pappas, the Trailblazers closed out the Lyman Classic on Sunday afternoon with a 13-5 victory over Weber State in five innings at Karl Brooks Field.

The third-ever Trailblazer to belt three home runs in a contest, joining Anna Cue (2011) & Mikaela Thomson (2021), Pappas drove in six RBI's belting a pair of solo home runs to go along with a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the fifth.

Utah Tech (6-9) wrapped up a 4-1 showing at the Lyman Classic collecting 11 hits with a pair of two-hit contests from Sadie Phillips and Gabi Giroux and got a fourth home run with a two-run shot by Jayda Gleave in the third inning.

In the circle, Lexie Wilson improved to 3-0 on the season tossing her second straight complete game of the tournament throwing five innings and struck out a pair of Wildcats.

How It Happened
Pappas got the Trailblazers scoring started quickly with a leadoff home run to start the bottom of the first and Giroux made it 2-0 with an RBI single to center field.

Another solo home run by Pappas made it 3-0 after a pair of innings before a five-run third inning for Weber State (2-13) pushed the Wildcats in front, 5-3.

The Trailblazers quickly responded with a three-run bottom of the frame scoring one on a sacrifice fly by Baylee Howley and Gleave followed with a two-run shot to left-center to give Utah Tech a 6-5 lead.

Three more runs came home for UT in the fourth with the first three Trailblazers reaching base with a pair of walks and a single by Phillips loaded the bases.

Lakaiya-Braessia Kahahawai-Kekona brought home one run with a sacrifice fly to center and Lauren Jones followed with another sacrifice fly to left. Giroux added her second RBI base knock of the contest lacing an RBI double to left-center to extend the lead to 9-5.

Getting the botton of the fifth started with walks to Gleave and Drew McKown, the Trailblazers loaded the bases for Pappas after a single by Brooklyn Dowdle.

Pappas delivered her third long ball of the afternoon smacking a grand slam to earn the walk-off run-rule victory.
