(Ogden, UT – Oct 8, 2026) – Utah Tech women's soccer suffers their first conference defeat at the hands of the preseason favorite on Thursday night.
Weber State (6-5-2, 2-0-1 Big Sky) jumped out to a lead in just over a minute as Sayler Schlosser found the back of the net for her second goal of the season.
Preseason All-Big Sky selection Lily Blum would find the net two goals in the 9th and 32nd minutes to give the Wildcats a three goal advantage in the first half.
Lataya Brost had the best opportunity of the night for Utah Tech (6-5-1, 2-1-0 Big Sky) as she fired a shot off the top woodwork in the 9th minute.
The Trailblazers only had one shot on goal, which came in the 56th minute as
Jocelyn Wright got one on goal, but was saved by the Wildcat keeper.
Weber State was able to add a pair in the second half, leading to a victory which handed the Trailblazers their first conference loss of the season.
