(St George, UT – Oct 4, 2026) – Utah Tech men's soccer drops the second game of the conference opening homestand Sunday afternoon to UC Davis.
The Trailblazers (1-8-2, 0-2-1) applied the pressure early as
Seth Powder had a great chance on header from point blank, but the Aggie (1-6-4, 1-1-1) goalkeeper made a nice save by poking the ball out up top.
Utah Tech held UC Davis shotless until the final minute of the half, but both shots were off target.
The Aggies started the second half with a bang, scoring in just 54 seconds. Kota Brown found the back of the net on the first shot on goal of the game for UCD.
UT then had the next seven shot attempts, but couldn't find the equalizer.
UC Davis was able to add on to their lead in the 71st minute after drawing a foul in the box for a penalty kick. Rafael Matiello buried the PK for the Aggies.
Utah Tech was able to get a couple more shots off, but ultimately fell 2-0.
