Trailblazers Grounded By Air Force Wednesday Night

(St George, UT – Oct 28, 2026) – Utah Tech men's soccer dropped their final home match of the 2026 season on Wednesday night against Air Force.

The Trailblazers (2-12-2, 1-6-1 MWC) found themselves in a similar situation as last game, allowing an early goal to the opposition. Air Force (4-6-5, 3-3-2 MWC) was able to get on the board first in the seventh minute, when Doran Farrell scored his second goal of the season.

Utah Tech followed a few minutes later with their first scoring opportunity as Jacob Cinelli, who was coming off of a three point outing against UC Davis, tried to chip one over the goalie but didn't get quite enough of it.

The shot attempts in the first half were in the advantage of the Blazers, but they still headed into the locker room trailing 1-0.

Air Force increased its pressure in the second half, scoring in the 50th minute to double their lead to two. Just over six minutes later, the Falcons struck again as Quinn Muderlak scored his team-leading third goal of the year.

In the 70th minute, Air Force's lead ballooned to four as the Falcons got a goal from a fourth different player on the night.

In the 78th minute, Utah Tech was awarded a corner. Mitch Williams sent a beautiful ball to the middle of the box, where Stetson Coy was bunched in close. Coy was able to rise up and get enough on the ball with a header that found the right corner of the net. The goal was Stetson's first of the season, and Mitch recorded his third assist.

The Trailblazers weren't able to get another shot on goal the rest of the way, and they fell 4-1.

The loss tonight eliminated Utah Tech from Mountain West Tournament contention.
