Utah Tech head baseball coach
Chris Pfatenhauer unveiled the Trailblazers' 2026 schedule on Wednesday. The Blazers' 2026 slate of games features 56 total games, 27 of which will be played at Bruce Hurst Field. The schedule also highlights match-ups against two 2025 NCAA Regional teams, and five games against Power-4 conference schools.
"This year's schedule will be a tremendous test for our team," Coach Pfatenhauer said. "With a couple of early season extended road trips, we will be tested right away.
"This is a mature group that should respond well to the challenge and should be more than prepared when WAC play comes around in April," Pfatenhauer continued. "We are also thrilled to bring some new baseball power programs into Bruce Hurst Field this spring; Austin Peay and Fresno State to name a couple."
In addition, the upcoming 2026 season is not only Utah Tech's sixth Division I campaign overall, it will also mark the final season that the Trailblazers will be playing under the Western Athletic Conference banner. The Trailblazer program is set to join the Mountain West Conference ahead of the 2027 season.
