Utah Tech redshirt senior guard Kaylee Borden was named Jersey Mike's A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference women's basketball Newcomer of the Week on Monday.
 
Borden, who is the WAC's leading scorer (20.0 ppg) through the first three weeks of the 2025-26 season, poured in a career high 25 points on 9-of-16 shooting (2-of-5 3FG) and went 5-of-7 at the foul line. "Keke" scored 17 of her 25 points in the first half, and tallied five rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes of game action.

Thanks to her 25-point night last Saturday, Borden joined some pretty elite company as she became just the sixth Trailblazer in the program's NCAA era to score at least 20 points in three of the first four games to begin a season. 
 
Utah Tech returns to action this Tuesday night when the Trailblazers travel to the desert to square off against Big 12 member Arizona State. Tip-off inside Desert Financial Arena in Tempe is set for 6:30 p.m. (MT).
