Utah Tech head women's basketball coach
JD Gustin announced on Friday the signing of Utah State post player
Lauren Crocker to a financial aid agreement ahead of the upcoming 2024-25 season. Crocker played her freshman season with the Aggies' program and has three years of eligibility remaining.
"We feel fortunate to sign a player like Lauren at this stage of the recruiting season," said Coach Gustin. "She brings us a significant presence defending in the post, and has a determined work ethic to learn how we play offensively. I also like her engaging and positive attitude, she is a great fit for our team."
Crocker (6-4) saw time in 19 games with three starts this past season at Utah State, where she averaged 1.6 points and 1.8 rebounds in 7.6 minutes per game. She shot 54.2 percent (13-of-24) from the floor and collected eight blocked shots, two steals and one assist overall.
Crocker tallied a season-high 10 points, along with three rebounds and two blocks vs. Northern Colorado (12/16/23), and pulled down a career-best 11 rebounds in a start vs. San Jose State (1/6/24).
A native of Calgary, Alberta, Crocker played her senior prep season at Perry High School in Gilbert, Ariz., where she helped lead the Pumas to a 26-3 overall record, an Arizona 6A Premier Section championship, and a state semifinal appearance.
Crocker, who averaged a double-double at 11.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per game in her lone year at PHS, also played for the Kia Nurse Elite and Genesis club teams.
Crocker is Utah Tech's ninth and final signee ahead next season, joining fellow spring additions in
