TRAILBLAZERS WIN ONE AT SEATTLE U
The Trailblazers split a doubleheader on Friday at Seattle U winning game two, 3-1 after falling 3-2 on a walk-off in the opener.

The series wrapped up on Saturday with a tough 1-0 loss with the Redhawks scoring the game's lone run in the second inning.

As a pitching staff, Utah Tech posted a 1.78 ERA in the series holding SU to five earned runs and combined for eight strikeouts.

ABOUT THE SOUTHERN UTAH THUNDERBIRDS
The Thunderbirds are 14-18 overall on the season with a 4-8 mark in the WAC sitting in a tie for eighth with Stephen F. Austin. SUU is coming off a home series win over Abilene Christian last weekend and also has a series win over Stephen F. Austin.

With a 2-8 record on the road this season, the Thunderbirds are hitting .265 as a team to rank eighth in the WAC and are averaging 3.7 runs per game.

Four Thunderbirds hit over .300 on the season led by junior Karmyna Becerra with a .343 average and tops the team in hits (37), at-bats (108), runs (23) and doubles (9).

On the pitching side, Southern Utah has a 4.72 ERA to rank fifth in the WAC. Freshman Emily Delgado has a team-best five wins and leads the team in starts (12), innings pitched (93.2) and strikeouts (66).

SERIES HISTORY VS. SOUTHERN UTAH
The Trailblazers lead the all-time series over SUU, 24-11 sweeping the Thunderbirds on the road last year.

Utah Tech is 16-3 at home in the series against SUU and is 9-2 overall against the Thunderbirds since moving to Division I in 2021.

WAC STANDINGS
The Trailblazers enter the week sitting sixth in the WAC with a 5-7 mark in the conference.

UT has remaining home WAC series against California Baptist and UT Arlington and road series at Tarleton State and Utah Valley.
