TRAILBLAZERS SPLIT PAIR OF GAMES AT TARLETON STATE
The Trailblazers split a pair of games at Tarleton State last weekend as the series finale set for Saturday was canceled due to rain.

The first game on Friday saw the Trailblazers win, 3-1 striking first with a run in the second inning scoring on an RBI double by Gabi Giroux that drove home Marisa Rubio from first.

A sacrifice fly by Carly Eldredge and an RBI single to left field by Rubio in the third inning pushed the Trailblazers ahead, 3-0.

With starting pitcher Attlyn Johnston tossing a complete game, she held the Texans off the board in the first five innings, before Tarleton broke up the Trailblazers shutout bid in the sixth with a bases-loaded walk.

With the bases continuing to be loaded and only one out, Johnston got a popup and strikeout to hold off the Texans rally.

Johnston earned her sixth win of the season in the victory limiting Tarleton State to four hits, one earned run and struck out six.

The nightcap of the doubleheader saw the Trailblazers fall, 7-0.
