(St. George, Utah - March 9, 2024) - The Trailblazers got back on the winning side on Saturday afternoon sweeping Colorado Mesa, 7-0 at the Trailblazer Tennis Courts.

"The team picked up a great win today!," said head coach Eric Pelton.

Utah Tech (5-7) got the action started sweeping all three positions at doubles to take a quick 1-0 lead.

The Trailblazers continued their strong play at singles getting started with a 6-4, 6-2 win at number one singles by Adithi Venkatakrishnan.

The next five Blazers followed suit picking up wins from Ana Gutierrez Sampere, Mariana Zurita, Rachel Mellor, Ya-Chi Hsu & Raquel Roshak to complete the sweep of the Mavericks.

"They dominated the doubles win at all three positions and singles continued their great playing. They hit the shots they needed to in the big points," added Pelton.

The Trailblazers return to the court on March 20 traveling to UNLV for a contest at 11 a.m. at the Fertitta Tennis Complex.
