Lacy Fox has been named TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday. Fox's recognition marks the first time this season that a Trailblazer women's soccer player has been named Player of the Week by the WAC.

Fox, a sophomore forward, appeared in both games over the weekend, playing 127 minutes in an attack that produced seven goals across two games.

Against Colorado State on Thursday, the Highland, Utah, native started and played 72 minutes, breaking the game wide open with two goals less than 15 seconds apart to put UT ahead, 2-0, in the 18
th minute. She finished the game with four shots, all of which were on target, as Utah Tech claimed a 3-2 victory.

Just three days later against Idaho State on Sunday, Fox played 55 minutes off the bench and finished with four shots, including the most important shot of the game. Off a

Brynlee Rider, Fox finished from outside the box to the goalkeeper's right in the 86
th minute to put Utah Tech ahead 4-3, a result that would hold as Utah Tech earned its fifth victory of the season.

After scoring once as a freshman in 2022, Fox is up to five goals on the season which leads the team and is tied for fourth-most in the conference.

Utah Tech is set to host Southern Utah this Friday in the opening game of conference play. Kickoff at Greater Zion Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m.
