Trailblazer MBB Signs Trey Hall

Originally from Willimantic, Conn., Hall most recently played at the University of Evansville.

ST.GEORGE, Utah - Utah Tech Men's Basketball added to its 2023-24 roster on Wednesday, as head coach Jon Judkins announced the addition of Trey Hall.

"Trey is a great addition to our program as he brings experience and leadership," Judkins said. "He is a great player with his best basketball still ahead of him and we are happy to be adding him to our Utah Tech Basketball family."

Hall was most recently at the University of Evansville where he started three of his 19 appearances during his first year of college basketball during the 2020-21 season. He scored a season-high nine points against Louisville on Nov. 25, 2020, and followed it up with a season-high eight rebounds against Prairie View A&M in his next game on Nov. 27.

The 6-9 forward would finish the season shooting 9-24 (37.5%) from deep while averaging 9.5 minutes of action per game.

Hall joins pre prep guards Angelo Kambala (Las Vegas, Nev./Liberty HS) and Aric Demings (Desoto, Texas/Davenport HS), prep swingman Tennessee Rainwater (Davenport, Wash./Davenport HS) along with transfers Beon Riley (Chula Vista, Calif./Hawaii), Jaylen Searles (Everett, Wash./Southeastern CC – Iowa), Sammy Howlin (La Habra, Calif./Fullerton College), David Elliott (Los Angeles, Calif./Garden City CC) and Larry Olayinka (Los Angeles, Calif./Garden City CC) as members of the Trailblazers' talented signing class.

Why he chose Utah Tech: "I chose Utah Tech because of how much belief the coaching staff has in me to make an impact both on the court and in the community. Also, everyone was extremely welcoming on my visit which made my decision that much easier as I move to Utah from the East Coast."
