Utah Tech senior outfielder Shea Clements was named TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference Softball Player of the Week on Monday. 

Clements (5-7; Las Vegas, Nev./Shadow Ridge HS) enjoyed an incredible week at the plate, batting .714 in four starts (10-of-14) with four doubles, four RBI, seven runs scored, and went 5-of-6 in stolen base attempts to help lead the Trailblazers to a 3-1 week. The senior slugged an even 1.000 in the four games and was only retired four times in 17 total plate appearances, as she drew three walks to finish the weekend with a .765 on-base percentage. 

After starting the week with a 1-for-3 effort in the Trailblazers' road loss at BYU last Wednesday, Clements blistered Southern Utah pitching to thet tune of an .818 (9-for-11) average in a three-game weekend road series sweep. 
 
Clements went a combined 7-for-7 in Saturday's doubleheader with a double and two stolen bases in each game, before a 2-for-4 day with two more doubles and an RBI on Sunday. Clements scored runs in all four games last week and drove in at least one run in each game at SUU.

Utah Tech (31-16/16-5 WAC) will look to clinch its first WAC regular season title this weekend when the Trailblazers welcome in-state rival Utah Valley to Karl Brooks Field for a three-game series. 
 
Game one of the series will be played on Friday at 12 noon, followed by a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 12 noon.
