Utah Tech battled Colorado Mesa and the weather on Sunday, and came away with a loss and a cancellation in a home dual twin bill at the Trailblazer Tennis Courts. UT dropped the first dual match, 5-2, before rain led the to end of the second dual during doubles play.  
 
The Trailblazers looked like they were in good shape after sweeping all three doubles matches. However the Mavericks rebounded to take five of the six singles matches, though three of those matches went three sets, to claim the dual victory.
 
Utah Tech's lone victory in Sunday's dual came at No. 3 singles, where freshman Adithi Venkatakkrishnan posted her third singles win of the season with a straight-set victory over Macy Richards, 6-2, 6-0. 
 
Utah Tech will head out for a five-match road trip that includes its first two WAC duals of the year at New Mexico State (3/17) and at Grand Canyon (3/19). UT will also play non-conference matches at Eastern Arizona (3/15 and 3/18) and vs. Weatherford (3/18) at EAU.
