Kyah Le Signs With Utah Tech

A transfer from Gonzaga, the Spokane, Wash., native made 16 appearances across two seasons as a Bulldog.

(St. George, Utah – Dec. 16, 2023) The Trailblazer women's soccer program added another key piece on Saturday, officially signing Kyah Le ahead of the 2024 season. An incoming junior, Le joins a Utah Tech program in addition to a nine-player freshman class.

"I'm super excited to join Utah Tech and play for Coach Lexi again. She's doing great things with the program and I look forward to being a part of it," Le said. "St. George is also a beautiful place and Utah Tech is a great school to further my academics while competing in the WAC. I'm beyond grateful for the opportunity and can't wait to get started."

Originally from Spokane, Wash., Le is coming off a strong sophomore season in which she made 15 appearances for a Gonzaga program that finished 14-4-2 and won the West Coast Conference title for the first time in program history, earning a berth into the 2023 NCAA Tournament.

Utah Tech's newest midfielder played 23 minutes in the Bulldogs' opening round victory, a 1-0 win over Idaho.

With starts against Hawaii (W, 7-5), Weber State (W, 9-2) and Nebraska (L, 1-3), Le finished the year with 381 minutes played, and was credited with her lone assist of the season in a 4-1 win over Cal Poly on Sept. 7; she added a shot in the next game, a scoreless draw on the road at Texas.

She played in two games as a freshman, both wins, over Cal Poly and Loyola Marymount, not recording a stat across 12 minutes of action.

Prior to joining the Gonzaga women's soccer program, Le took a gap year and played at the International Development Academy in Rome, Italy, during the 2021-22 season. Having scored nine goals for Serie C side Res Roma, Le was named Player of the Semester. Her international experience also includes time with the Vietnam Football Federation's U-19 team.

In high school, Le scored 23 goals and recorded 17 assists while playing at Gonzaga Prep. She was named to the All-Greater Spokane League First Team in 2021 and led the Bullpups to a third-place finish in the state tournament as team captain during her senior season. A stellar student, Le boasted a 4.0 grade point average at Gonzaga Prep, graduating Summa Cum Laude.

Utah Tech recently concluded its first season under new leadership in 2023, finishing 8-7-5 and earning the fifth seed in the 2023 WAC Women's Soccer Tournament, and Le is set to join a nine-player freshman class that was welcomed as part of National Signing Day on Nov. 10.
